Well, I didn't want any smilies, so I disabled smilies in my preferences. Then I posted a smiley, and it came! What's happening? When I checked my preferences the smilies were disabled, but they still come in my posts. And that too after I disabled the smilies I posted a smiley, and it came.
Is this a glitch?

I did the same thing, and it doesn't work. I guess it's not up to our choosing.

That happened to me. I disabled smilies, then i tested it didn't work.

It works, just takes a while to update, at least that is what happened with me. I also think it only applies to posts, not the chat.

I didn't test it 'till like two weeks after I set it, as I rarely use smileys.
