| I haven't made a Fantage recolor for what, half a year? :O Then I got bored, and felt like editing Fantage avatars again. That is, into some certain Homestuck characters which I happened to like. (I've actually had this idea for a while now, maybe I'll make some more of them as fantagians as well..) Then I just dumped them here. Yep. | Brace yourselves: | | |

And as for the poll, yeah, I did use to make lots of Fantage recolor/edits and I did use to post them here as well. And people seemed to love them. Which is why I put that as an option.

That was simple enough.

I copied them from the original sprite, resized them to fit Fantage eyes, added a darker pixel edge on the top in order to differentiate them from the eyes (which are also red), copied and flipped the glasses, redid the shine, finally placed them on the eyes. Then I added the rim.
Wait, that didn't sound too simple.
But it would get even more complex if I decided to make them transparent, which is rather hard to do in Paint. It's Windows 7 Paint, but still. It lacks opacity adjustment and layers.
Okay, so basically, I do what I think is the next step. Which could be anything, although some methods are easier than others.
For the hair, I just used the original sprite as a reference, and the curve tool on some existing Fantage hair. And filled the new parts in, and altered the shading. That sounds simple, I guess. |
Oh, and who should I do next?
For those who don't know their names, I made a handy coordinate system. All of these are from Homestuck, obviously none of these sprites are mine, except for the Fantage edit ones.

If you know Homestuck, you may suggest another outfit for the ones on the green line if you want to. The ones on the red one mostly haven't gotten any other ones yet. A1 accepts other forms/outfits, too. (You know, ghost, robot, got tiger. She is kinda weird when it comes to that.)
And oops, Jade misses her shirt symbol. Forgot putting it back on. Then again, her shirt used to change all the time. Meh. |
