If you don't know what lucid dreaming is, it is where you are asleep yet you can control your dreams.
I really want to have a lucid dream. I have read all about it, so I know that it is real. I read lots of things on how to do it, and my sister told me she even had one, and she never lies unless it's for a good cause. The only thing I am scared of is that..Some people who had lucid dreams wake up, and they don't know if they are still dreaming or awake. Some things say "if there are crazy things like an ocean out of your bathroom window, you are definetly asleep!" I don't want that to happen to me. Is it okay if you can tell me if you ever had a lucid dream, or give me links more about it? Thanks:)

I've had one before. I was very young, though. I'm not sure if these counts as a lucid dream, but I was in a sleeping " coma" ( I call it this when I'm half a sleep and half awake. I can hear everything that is going on around me.) So, somehow, I sort of controlled my dream.

I read some more about it, it sounds really cool but there are some parts that kind of make me not want to have one.

There are tricks you can use to tell you are dreaming: -Lean against a wall. You can fall through walls in dreams. -Jump a few times in a row. You can fly in dreams. -Pinch your skin and stretch it. Your skin is more elastic in dreams. -Look in a mirror. Your reflection will appear fuzzy or you won't see a reflection at all in dreams.

I have those all the time... My dreams also can predict the future of the next day. I sometimes think its creepy but those dreams are cool. But sometimes I wake up sweating because I made a horrible choice. Lucid dreams are sometimes fun but other times they are like nightmares. When you finally wake up from a lucid dream you feel drowsy, your a little confused but I know how to stop it, because I have it so often. I pinch myself. Seriously it works. I pinch myself in my dream and it doesn't hurt. So I know I'm not awake.

I sort of have them, like during the day I think "Man, I want to fly in a dream!" often, and then in the middle of a dream I remember and fly. It happens with other things too. But I can't control the whole dream, because my "dream me" doesn't remember my real life that much. Only key concepts, like wanting to fly.
My dreams are really crazy anyways.

Try binaural beats that are made specifically to help induce lucid dreaming, perhaps? I've also heard that meditation can help with lucid dreaming... I lucid dream quite a lot, but it's mainly just because the only times I do sleep are when I actually fall asleep, rather than purposefully sleeping. Also, I frequently experience sleep paralysis which sometimes leads to lucid dreaming. Anyway, you should start keeping a journal of all the dreams you have so that you can recall them. That's supposed to help with lucid dreaming. You could also tell yourself throughout the day that you will have a lucid dream as that is supposed to increase the chance of you having one.
I just found this and it looks helpful. ;u;

Here's a video I found:
Spoiler:
I did have a Lucid Dream when I was younger. I was terrified of bees. One night I had a Lucid Dream about a bunch of bees about to sting me but I altered it and just talked to them nicely so they would go away.

Sometimes I have dreams that get affected by noises around me. For example, a few days ago I was dreaming before I woke up in the morning, and my ipod wouldn't stop making a beeping noise. When I woke up, I discovered that it was really my alarm that had been going on for seven minutes straight.

I don't have them, mostly because it's hard for me to dream at all. Or at least, remember my dreams. You know how you always dream but don't remember? Then dreaming is kind of like remembering.... I wanna lucid dream too.

i had a lucid dream once where i was like about to get crushed by a big bad thing (don't quite recall what it was, i think it was a tidal wave?) and i realized that it couldn't have possibly been real, so i knew i was dreaming. then i made myself fly or something like that. that's the only time i realized my dream was stupid in the middle of the dream.
but these other tips seem really helpful! i never see reflections in dreams or clocks, so this could help a lot. (oddly enough though, i sometimes have had dreams where i can see myself moving and control myself, but it's like i'm watching a movie and i can see my whole body. would this be normal for dreams?)

lucid dreaming pretty much includes - your body is paralyzed. you cannot move - you see, hear and feel anything and everything around you. - your dream as a reality. - you hear weird noises, like murmurs and doors opening and closing - sometimes you can get up from it but then you can be able to see things from two different viewpoints. yeah its weird okay - being half asleep and half awake - you can control what happens sometimes.
so if you have a nightmare, haha good luck!!! youll be terrified and it wont be fun. there might be creepy things like shadows and freaking dying people. but if you have like an angel or some shiyat cool
also, know that a single lucid dream can induce sleep paralysis in the future.
anyway heres a thing for lucid dreaming, i never tried it cause im too scared to: http://www.world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/sleep-commands.html do the 100 breaths countdown thing in your bed. inhale for 1-2 secs, then pause for a second, then exhale for 1-2 secs. do that 100 times, counting down. don't scratch yourself or move. keep your eyes closed but open them when you get to 10 breaths. also, try not to get sleep, that way youll be "asleep" easier. sleep on your back too or else you cant breathe.

I also do Lucid Dreaming. People said its scary but nope its not at all. I could even control my dreams. :O IF I'm half a sleep lol. I'll just close my eyes and start to imagine things then I could control it until I really completely a sleep.
