| I have a question I want to ask you fellow forumers.
Is it normal for your chest to hurt when you run?
I have gym this trimester. We do warm-ups every day, and one of them is jogging. Every time I jog, my chest hurts. I don't know if it's because of asthma. I never had an asthma attack, and I don't carry around an inhaler with me.

| Ahem, don't hate me for this. Sometimes when a girl's breasts begin to grow, they swell. They can be easily damaged or they can bounce when running, thus causing them to hurt.
You could be finishing your period, so the swelling was causing them to hurt, or just the motion of jogging hurts.
You could not know how to breathe properly, therefore your lungs/chest would hurt because of lack of air (short breaths) or too much air (filling your lungs).

| Depends. How long have you been running? If you've been at it for 15 minutes or so, it's perfectly normal. You're just out of breath.
If you've only been going a short while, it's something to talk to your parents about, although likely nothing really serious.

| ok there are two possibilities here:
-asthma -heartburn
heres a whole thing on how to solve heartburn: http://www.webmd.com/heartburn-gerd/features/6-tips-ease-exercise-heartburn
exercise more, too. i used to get heartburn and i had to sit out in soccer, until i started playing baseball and running more, and having gym 2x a week. but take it slow, okay? you dont want to harm yourself.
if this isnt the cause, and it doesnt get better after trying, please see a doctor because i cant really help with asthma. |
