about the nickname pms?

okay so lately i, and a few other users, have been getting pms about nicknames and such.
i just wanted to let you know that i really do not like nicknames!!! at all
the only names i will respond to are
elly
mutie
any variations of elizabeth you can come up with except for beth/bethany
and elizabeth
please do not add chan/san/senpai/etc. to the end of any of my names! thank you uwu
if any of you want, you can reply with the names you'd prefer to be called by.

Kennedy or Nupita is fine.

I guess its ok if people call me Misty,anime or Henri-Chan.

I have no idea what are you guys are talking about I have not heard of a nickname trend... the only names I've been called were Rufistar and Rufi.

I was the first one to do this for fun. I don't understand why some people are copying it?? lol. If you don't like a nick-name you can just tell the person. Not make a like topic cuz yeah

But the fact that I've gotten like three pms from people i dont even talk to that often giving me a "nickname" bothers me

Well I am usually called kris or kriz but otherwise Kristen. But I am fine with candie

yeah but this was kinda like a psa for anyone else who was going to do it.
even if it is a joke, people need to get it through their heads that for many people nicknames make them really uncomfortable

I did it cause i was extremely bored and thought it was funny

i wasn't going to stick to the names

it's not my fault other people liked my idea

Um you shouldn't give nicknames to people you don't really talk to that much or give nicknames period without consent? It's basically the same thing as gender pronouns, except its a different usage. Like, if someone wants to be called he, call them he, not she, he-san, it, they, etc. We've already established what we want to be called, and if we haven't, just use their username. It's really just common decency to call someone what they prefer to be called.

You can call me Rohan- Please don't call me roh or rohaw.

You can call me anything as long if it doesn't sound ridiculous. Like for example Darkey or something weird
I personally think the nicknames are really cute.
I really like Manor since I had it for a while uwu
And I like the -chan, -san, etc stuff, I'm perfectly fine with it ^^ Its really adorable in my opinion

just call me Link or if you want to call my japanese name it's Yasuko.

Nicknames are mildly annoying at worst, but gender pronouns can really offend people.

I'd say as long as the other person's okay with it I don't care.

As for myself I don't really give a crap what you call me.
