| This person made gifs showing before-and-after pictures of celebrities being photoshopped. It's incredibly eye-opening to me at least. It's like even people who are already cosmetically gifted need to be shaped to fit the standards. - Spoiler:
Also someone pointed out how the lady by Selena's arm was slimmed down as well. Because celebrities can only socialize with other skinny people apparently.

| The short blond chick's arm disappears in Picture 5. And the last picture isn't actually edited, the whole thing shrinks.
Photos of celebrities have been photoshopped and airbrushed for a long time now. It's stupid, but there you go.

Photos of celebrities have been photoshopped and airbrushed for a long time now. It's stupid, but there you go. In Rihanna's (the last one) picture, if you look closely, you can see how her waist-line's angle was steepened. Yes, the second photo was zoomed in but that wasn't the only editing done. And I believe the objective of this thread was, as the title depicts, to inform people of how the media can project unrealistic body expectations - specifically onto females. There are a lot of younger, easily influenced kids on this forum. Most older people know what Photoshop can do, but not all younger people are aware of it. If we tackle these unrealistic body expectations seen by people everywhere from people in the media at an early age, we can prevent possible health problems like eating disorders.
