| Well, as most of you know, I have extremely long hair. It's about an inch or two for my waist. I've been growing it for a long time, and I don't plan on cutting it anytime soon. Lately, my friends at school have been constantly telling me to cut my hair, to the point of them yelling, " YOU WOULD LOOK SO GOOD WHY CAN'T YOU JUST CUT YOUR HAIR?!!??" at me. It's starting to get on my nerves, and I'm getting really frustrated. This became worse ever since I uploaded a photo of me on Instagram, and the effect made it look like my hair was chopped off just below my shoulders. They all said, " OMG YOU WOULD LOOK SO MUCH BETTER LIKE THIS!" I responded, " I like my hair now." They say, " Yeah but it looks better than it looks now." So, I get frustrated and say, " JUST DROP IT!" and they're like, " calm down ugh" and roll their eyes at me. Also, Every year I go to Greece, and I use this thing called Sun-In that brings out the natural highlights in your hair. It turned my hair into a caramel-ish colour, and I personally think it's great. The area at the top of my head is my natural brown, and the bottom is the blonde. It's really cute! Unfortunately, they constantly accuse me of dyeing it. I constantly tell them I didn't and they say, " YEAH RIGHT. Sure, Whatever. I don't believe you. JUST ADMIT YOU DYED IT, ANGELINA! GOD!" and I'm like, " JUST SHUT UP I DIDNT!" and they say, " wow, rude much?" and walk away and eyeball me while they're chatting about me.
How can I make them stop? They do far worse things, but this one really irritates me.

| Tell them fine if you dont like it dont like it. You guys arent the boss of my hair! I like it long so you should support me instead of being the poop-heads you are. Try telling them that, | |

| Firstly. I know you'r friends telling you to cut your hair, but they should accept who you are and what you will do to your hair. If you're happy about your hair , ignore them. They might sound forceful but they're probably suggesting that you should cut your hair. If I was in your shoe, I would just ignore them.
Prove them that you used Sun-in hair lightener, explain that it's not a hair dye and It's just a spray that makes hair go lighter from the sun.

| Omg I relate to this so much. I had my hair down to my waist like three months ago (I got 5 inches unwillingly chopped off but it's grown back three inches now) and everyone would always ask me when I was going to chop it off or donate it and it was just really annoying. What I found to be useful to get them to stop would to be just be blunt and tell them that I'll chop it off whenever I want to. Having my hair cut off was terrible. I prefer reaallly long hair to the shorter kind. Just know where you stand and don't let them get to you. Peer pressure may make you do something you'll immensely regret.
As for the hair-dying part, be blunt and tell them straight up how it is. Explain to them how it works and maybe even demonstrate? Like, show them the product online and how it naturally lightens your hair without dyes. Don't give it up, though. They're bound to get the picture eventually. I mean, lying about it would be hard to keep up.

| i have a couple natural really blonde streaks in my hair, so i know your blonde tips are natural. your friends are being extremely rude and they need to realize how impolite they're being. do they all have shorter hair than you? perhaps they're just jealous. anyways, you need to simply tell them off without seeming rude. don't insult them for being bad friends, just tell them that you are happy with your hair and you don't plan on cutting it soon, and that's that. and as others said, maybe even tell them you're using a lotion to bring out your hair color. | |

| That's the thing. One of them had hair longer than mine, then she chopped it off two or three years ago. She donated it to cancer, and I guess they think I'm being rude and selfish because I don't want to donate my hair? Also, @o, yes all their hair is a lot shorter than mine. | |

| I suggest you get rid of those friends, by ignoring their remarks. They sound very immature in my opinion, making a big deal about your hair. Who cares if you dye it or leave it long? It's not their decision, only yours uwu | |

| @Pastel Yes, I know. They're not really my friends, just classmates. I don't care if they don't believe me about the dyed hair, But they're starting to annoy me. I've had two dreams about me cutting my hair, even shorter than they suggested, and I've regretted it so much in them. I love the way it looks on me, and the bottom part is the really pretty blonde. | |

| I agree with Pastel, maybe you shouldn't be friends with them. I think that its your choice. Besides, long hair is very pretty!
If they don't believe you, you shouldn't yell at them. You'll just get them to be even more annoying. |

| Rule one in life:
You dress however you want, and if someone is disturbed or uncomfortable due to that, that's their problem. Cut it, grow it out, shave it-- it's your body.
Rule two in life:
If someone's doing something that's annoying you, tell them to stop and (as politely as possible) state your reasons against it. |

| I always state my reasons against it and they keep pushing and saying I should.
@Witch it's kind of hard not to yell when they're screaming in my face.

| They're the rude ones. If they don't like your hair, who cares. Just ignore them because if you yell back and try to defend yourself, you're just going to lure them to insult you. If ignoring them won't work, tell an adult and they'll handle the situation. These girls are verbally bullying you and you have the right to tell on them! Long hair is really pretty. These girls are very very low to insult you like that. Plus, they're probably just jealous you have your beautiful hair. (*≧▽≦) | |

| Here's three solutions:
1. Ask your parents what to do. It's the easiest way to get out of this. 2. Stay calm. Just give them a nice, simple answer and just say you don't want to change your hair or that your hair color is natural. Don't yell or your friends will say you're overreacting. Consider their opinion for a while and say something nice about their idea, but that you'd still like your hair long. Suggest something fun to do when they talk about your hair and take their mind off of it. Act like they're convincing you to smoke like when teachers taught it to kids at school, and use the advice on your hair. 3. Use the "My parents wouldn't let me" excuse. It only works if your friends are gullible enough and just in case you can merse this with number one and tell your parents everything, and say that if your friends ask tell them what to say. This I don't recommend because it's lying, but only if it's really the last straw.

I've told them my dad says so, and they say, " It's your hair, why do you let your dad control you?" and I'm just like, omg.

| Oh my god I would love hair that long ok But anyways, it doesn't really matter, if they think you dyed it, let them think that. If they think it should be shorter, let them think that. Don't bother, just say "Good for you" and leave. What's important is what YOU know, and what YOU think. And your hair sounds beautiful | |

| My hair is about 20 inches and not one of my friends say anything negative. They actually compliment my hair. What's wrong with long hair? If it's healthy than keep it long. These friends of yours seem jealous of your hair. If they keep this up then tell them how you feel about it. You should just trim 1-2 inches of your hair whenever your hair becomes thin at the bottom, but this is optional. | |
