| hi this is going to be somewhat quick because i'm really emotional right now and i don't want to get carried away in rant. recently i've been noticing that some of you (not gonna point out names) have been not respecting some people's genders in a way? - there's some things in here that might make you uncomfortable so beware kiddos:
i mean, almost all of you use the correct pronouns but some of you have been talking behind some people's backs about whether they're trans or not. that is really /NONE/ of your business! if they say they are a boy, they are a boy. if they say they're a girl, they're a girl. simple as that. if someone happens to share with you that they're transgendered (or in some cases like myself, whether a person has a vagina or a penis) most of the time they REALLY trust you and you should not share that with anyone else unless given permission!!! i should probably also mention that JUST BECAUSE A PERSON HAS A PENIS DOES NOT MAKE THEM A BOY AND JUST BECAUSE A PERSON HAS A VAGINA DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY'RE A GIRL the exact same goes for if the person looks like a girl/wears girl clothes/likes/does "girl" things or if the person looks like a boy/wears boy clothes/likes/does "boy" things does not specify their gender. at all. whatsoever. as for myself, i was born with a vagina but i am *not a boy nor a girl* i honestly prefer you to use they/their as a pronoun for myself. if you cannot get used to it, then feel welcome to use male pronouns for me. that's about it i guess yeehaw

| Oh my god thank you. Also it's super, super rude to insist on calling people by their biological sex because you believe that's what they ~really~ are. Like, it's really stupid. And don't ask them questions about their biological sex, either. If they don't want to tell don't make them. Plus if they have a preferred name that's different than their birth name then pls don't call them by their birth name or ask questions it just makes you look like a stupid crapnugget. | |

| ^^^^basically all of the above. if a person insists on you calling them something, call them that. it's that simple. | |

| mmm can i mention to never call anyone whose transgender can you not call their birth name their real name or their biological sex their real sex, ebcause, thats wrong and youre an idiot if you do that ah, a. lots of my lcose friends are transgender and um, yeah. i know a lot of them, i mean for exmaple a transgirl friend i have doesnt like being called male when talking about her sex, she simply prefers xy chromosones. come on now. gender is cool and stuff!! but umm would it be too much to ask you to put this under a spoiler,, a lot of the people here are really young and seeing words like this might be kinda weird for their parents, i mean the topic is okay but yeah. good topic thoguh! respect peoples gender | |

| Earlier on the chatbox I've actually said something that was unintentionally rude about this subject I didn't mean it to be rude and I apologize for being a jerk
But overall I agree with this.
EDIT: Let me rephrase this since I typed that up really quickly and lazily. I actually have been contributing to this subject and I apologize for that. I didn't realize that it was rude, offensive, or mean. But now I realize that it was stupid and dumb of me to participate. I am really sorry about that and I apologize.
THank you for making this topic, its a really good explanation.

| Yes. Thank you for making this topic. I agree with you totally.
Just because someone identifies as something other than their biological gender does not give you a free ticket to be a complete butthead about it. And you certainly don't have the right to tell them they're not what they say they are. They know themselves better than you ever will, so if they say they are male or female or neither or both, that's what they are, regardless of biological gender.

| I apologize for calling a you a girl still... I was confused and wasn't sure how to approach the subject without offending you... looks like I may have done so any way. Though when I did it it was out of complete ignorance, not an excuse but I just want to give you the reason why I may have said what I said.
I do appreciate the topic, however, I like that our generation is opening up in the mind. We still have a lot of old values and morals, but we're moving forward, slowly but surely.

| I lack knowledge in this field, so thank you for this clarification.
I'm 99% sure that I stopped addressing you with female pronouns as soon as you put the message in your signature, but I'm sorry if I didn't.
Anyways, thank you for this topic!
